Privacy Policy
DoseOwl handles medication and care information with restraint. This policy explains what the app processes and the choices available to you.
Effective: August 25, 2026
Information DoseOwl processes
- Medication schedules, dose records, stock counts, refill history, care notes, and reminder preferences you choose to add.
- Names, profile photos, Care Circle roles, invitations, and consent records needed to organize shared care.
- Sign in with Apple identifiers and authentication tokens. DoseOwl does not request your Apple name or email scope.
- Purchase entitlement status and product identifiers needed to provide Premium. Payment details are handled by Apple and are not received by DoseOwl.
- Device tokens, app version, platform, time zone, and notification privacy preference needed to deliver alerts.
- Limited operational records such as request identifiers, error categories, and service timing. DoseOwl does not put names, medication details, dose history, or health notes in logs.
How information is used
Information is used to provide medication schedules and reminders, synchronize authorized Care Circle activity, restore an account across devices, manage subscriptions, secure the service, and respond to support requests. DoseOwl does not sell personal information and does not use health information for advertising.
Where information is processed
Cloud account and care data is processed by Supabase on DoseOwl's behalf. Subscription status is processed by Apple and RevenueCat. Apple Push Notification service routes remote notifications. On-device files use iOS data protection and are excluded from device backups where appropriate.
DoseOwl does not include third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
Sharing and Care Circles
Care information is shared only with people authorized through a Care Circle and only at their granted access level. Pending invitations expire and can be revoked. Withdrawing access prevents future access; audit records may be retained where needed for security and accountability.
Notifications and sensitive content
Notification previews are private by default. Unless you explicitly opt in to sensitive content, lock-screen notifications use general wording without a person or medication name. iOS notification settings can further limit or disable delivery.
Retention and deletion
DoseOwl keeps account data while your account is active and only as long afterward as required for security, dispute handling, or legal obligations. You can delete your account inside DoseOwl at any time. Deletion removes the cloud account and clears local cache, queued changes, photos, notifications, Live Activities, and the subscription-service identity from the device. It does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings.
Your choices
You can use core DoseOwl features anonymously on one device, review and correct profile information, withdraw Care Circle access, control notification previews, export eligible data, or delete your account. See the account deletion guide for steps.
Children and medical decisions
DoseOwl is not directed to children under 13. DoseOwl organizes information you enter; it is not a medical provider and does not make treatment decisions.
